Day One: Welcome to Portugal’s Algarve
Your guides will greet you in Faro Airport and drive just ten minutes to the historical village of Estói.  A rococo palace built in 1840 by Visconde de Carvalhal with a terraced garden will make you feel like royalty. The Pousada is a Small Luxury Hotel in Estoi located in a palace born of the restoration of an 18th century palace and features various original elements. There We’ll start our adventure in this picturesque village with plenty of vestiges from the roman and Moorish occupancy.  After a delicious lunch is time to set up your bike and equipment before we go for a short test ride to São Brás de Alportel. Cycle back to the hotel to refresh at the hotel’s spa or pool. Tonight, we dine in the delightful hotel restaurant.

Day Two: Cork trees, Tavira Historical city and the Ria Formosa Natural Park
After you wake up with passionate view over the region of Faro, a gourmet breakfast at the gardens from the Palace preps us for an enthusiastic ride past the barrocal region from São Brás de Alportel between the inland Algarve’s sierra and the sea by the shadow of cork, olive, almond and carrot trees just near the road. The ride is a constant up and down through valleys until you get to the marvelous and historical city of Tavira. After a light fresh fish lunch by the Gilao river and the roman bridge at the city centre we ride up inland to the Serra de Tavira where you will enjoy from a panoramic view of the Sotavento coast and Ria Formosa. Before you arrive Monte Gordo we will pass by the medieval village of Castro Marim with a rich history and culture. After relaxed sunset over the sea we meet again to dine in a panoramic restaurant over the golden beach of Praia Verde.

Day Three: Guadiana River / Border with Spain / Route of the Contrabandists 
Leaving the blue sea and gold beaches from Monte Gordo and Vila Real is now time to ride inland throughout amazing roads that feels like they’re made for us! Perfect tarmac and no traffic. Slowly climbing to Azinhal then Alta Mora you will ride between the Beliche and Odeleite damm’s. From Alta Mora a high speed downhill will take you to a challenging climb with degree’s around 20%! Reaching the top the marvelous Guadiana river splits Portugal from Spain. Downing the hill to Guerreiros do Rio will be just amazing! A quick stop for a drink in relaxing bar just by the river is mandatory before we easily roll along the river to the traditional village of Alcoutim!

This evening, enjoy a complimentary tour around Alcoutim visitng the castle and then a small friendly boat take us to San Lucar in Spain, just on the other side of the river. And if you dare, comeback by a thrilling slide over the river!!!

Day Four: From the river and the Serra do Caldeirão and the earth from the Algarve
This morning we start with a long climb that takes us to the plains touching the border with Alentejo region, famous for his wines. Once we take the EN124, a traditional and historical road that crosses the Algarve, just get amazed by the flowing course along remote and low populated villages lost in the Sierra. After lunch in a traditional small restaurant the way to Salir will be constantly downhill and pleasurable. After relaxing in a traditional rural country house walk through centuries-old streets and squares from the small but very welcoming village of Salir.

Day Five: White wash houses from Alte and the Majestic Castle of Silves
Start this day with a real traditional portuguese breakfast with homemade products before a ride through pastoral fields, oak and orange trees, where the only sounds are the chirping of birds. In Alte a stoppage at Germano’s bike caffe is mandatory and off course a visit to the Fonte Pequena and Queda da Vigario. And if we are in a usual weather day from Algarve, a dive in the waterfall will be guaranteed. Rolling along the En124 we will pass by Silves, the first capital from Algarve! A beautiful city that breeds history. We’ll arrive in Caldas de Monchique. A thermal small village on the slopes of Serra de Monchique. The history of the location dates back to the Romans who discovered the hot spring waters to be medically beneficial for respiratory and muscular problems. We’ll relax on the span and terms after 4 great stges. Our farewell dinner will take place at Luar da Foia, with take breathing views over the region.

Day Six: Free day
Relax this day over the thermal village or visit the traditional villa of Monchique just 5kms away.

Day Seven: Climb to Algarve’s highest point and reach the southwest point of Europe 
The longer and harder day after the day off starts with a long 15kms climb to Fóia, the highest point in Algarve over 900mts high. Then ride down around the mountain trough enthusiastic roads who will test your driving skills. In Marmelete a stop for a homemade sandwich is mandatory before we ride down to Aljezur, another historical village from the Algarve. Rolling along the vincentina coast and nature reserve the destination will be cape st vicent, the southwest point of Europe, also the place where the famous Portuguese navigators from the 15th century like Vasco da Gama lifted the anchor from their famous caravels.

Day Eight: Say goodbye to Algarve 
After a relaxing and tasty breakfast overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is time to pack all the luggage and your guides will take you to your hotel or the airport.
