The authentic Tour of Algarve!
Discover the genuine Algarve region with this Tour. A travel that take you along the most typical and outstanding sceneries of the Algarve. Most of the roads you will ride are part of the official course of the Pro Race "Volta ao Algarve". Test yourself in high quality car free roads  with sweeping views of the diverse fauna and flora from the Algarve on our Ride Across Algarve.

Start riding the along the typical Algarve's barrocal with incursions to the best coastal areas avoiding some traffic roads. Ride alongside the Guadiana river overlooking Spain in the other edge till you find Alcoutim, one of the most traditicional villages of the Algarve.

Then ride along the classic EN124 road. An old and historic road that connects Alcoutim to Portimão crossing the Serra do Caldeirão and the barrocal and passing by typical villages as Salir, Alte or Sao Bartolomeu de Messines.  In Silves get impressed with it's majestic castle and plenty of arabic vestiges from their occupation. Silves was the first capital of the Algarve.

Meanwhile take some time to get delighted with some food specialties of the Algarve, as the fresh fish just caught early on the morning or the bacalhau or the wild pork specielties. Get in touch with local people, we are known as very friendly and kind persons.

In Monchique relax at termal village of Caldas de Monchique before you conquer the Foia, the highest point in Algarve over 900m

This magnificent Tour ends with a passionate section along the vincent coast till you reach the most southwest point of Europe, the Saint Vincent Cape in Sagres.

Day 1 – Welcome to Portugal and to the Algarve
Your guides will greet you in Faro Airport and drive you for just ten minutes to the historical village of Estói.  A rococo palace built in 1840 by Visconde de Carvalhal with a terraced garden will make you feel like royalty. The Pousada is a Small Luxury Hotel in Estoi located in a palace born of the restoration of an 18th century palace and features various original elements. There We’ll start our adventure in this picturesque village with plenty of vestiges from the roman and Moorish occupancy.  After a delicious lunch is time to set up your bike and equipment before we go for a short test ride to São Brás de Alportel. Cycle back to the hotel to refresh at the hotel’s spa or pool.

Day 2: Cork trees, Tavira Historical city and the Ria Formosa Natural Park
After you wake up with a passionate view over the region of Faro, a gourmet breakfast at the gardens from the Palace preps us for an enthusiastic ride along the barrocal region by the shadow of cork, olive, almond and carrot trees just near the road. Today’s ride is a constant up and down through beautiful valleys until you get to the marvelous and historical city of Tavira. Take some time to relax by the Gilao river and the roman bridge at the city centre and have a lunch or a snack at one the multiple typical restaurants. Then ride up inland to the Serra de Tavira where you will enjoy from a panoramic view of the Sotavento coast and Ria Formosa. Before you arrive Monte Gordo you will pass by the medieval village of Castro Marim, very rich in history and culture. The end of today’s ride is in Monte Gordo, situated on one of the finest beaches of the Eastern Algarve, and has been transformed from a minor fishing village into a modern and popular resort town. During the summer Monte Gordo has a buzzing atmosphere.

Day 3: Guadiana River / Border with Spain / Route of the Contrabandists 
Leaving the blue sea and gold beaches from Monte Gordo and Vila Real is now time to ride inland throughout amazing roads that feels like they’re made for us! Perfect tarmac and no traffic. Slowly climbing to Azinhal then Alta Mora you will ride between the Beliche and Odeleite dam’s. From Alta Mora a high speed downhill will take you to a challenging climb with degree’s around 20%! Reaching the top the marvelous Guadiana river splits Portugal from Spain. Downing the hill to Guerreiros do Rio will be just amazing! A quick stop for a drink in relaxing bar just by the river is mandatory before we easily roll along the river to the traditional village of Alcoutim!
In This evening, we recommend you to take some time to walk around Alcoutim visitng the castle and then take the small boat to San Lucar in Spain, just on the other side of the river.

Day 4: From the river and the Serra do Caldeirão and the earth from the Algarve
This morning start with a long climb that takes you to the plains touching the border with Alentejo region, famous for his wines. Once you take the EN124, a traditional and historical road that crosses the Algarve, just get amazed by the flowing course along remote and low populated villages lost in the Sierra. After relaxing in a traditional rural country house walk through centuries-old streets and squares from the small but very welcoming village of Salir.

Day 5: White wash houses from Alte and the Majestic Castle of Silves
Start this day with a real traditional portuguese breakfast with homemade products before a ride through pastoral fields, oak and orange trees, where the only sounds are the chirping of birds. In Alte a stoppage at Germano’s bike caffe is mandatory and off course a visit to the Fonte Pequena
and Queda da Vigario. And if you face a usual sunny weather day from Algarve, you can enjoy from a dive at the waterfall. Rolling along the En124 you will pass by Silves, the first capital from Algarve! A beautiful city that breeds history. In this day you finish the tour at Caldas de Monchique. A thermal small village on the slopes of Serra de Monchique. The history of the location dates back to the Romans who discovered the hot spring waters to be medically beneficial for respiratory and muscular problems. We’ll relax on the span and terms after 4 great stages. For dinner, we strongly recommend Luar da Foia restaurant, beside the outstanding traditional cuisine you can enjoy from take breathing views over the region.

Day 6 - Climb to Algarve’s highest point and reach the southwest point of Europe
The longer and harder day starts with a long 15kms climb to Fóia, the highest point in Algarve over 900mts high. Then ride down the mountain and proceed around the mountain through enthusiastic roads who will test your driving skills. In Marmelete a stop for a homemade sandwich is mandatory before we ride down to Aljezur, another historical village from the Algarve. Rolling along the Costa Vicentina and nature reserve the destination will be cape st vicent, the southwest point of Europe, also the place where the famous Portuguese navigators from the 15th century like Vasco da Gama lifted the anchor from their famous caravels.

Destinations: Monchique, Fóia, Marmelete, Aljezur, Vicentina Coast, Cape St Vincent, Sagres

Day 7: Say goodbye to Algarve 
After a relaxing and tasty breakfast overlooking the Atlantic Ocean is time to pack all the luggage and your guides will take you to your hotel or the airport.
