Description
Embark on an unforgettable adventure that will take you to explore the best trails and singletracks in the Algarve. Start by riding in the eastern Algarve along the famous trails of the Algarve Bike Challenge, then on to the famous Ribeira de Algibre and its endless singletrack that leads to the paradisiacal cliff of Vilamoura. Continuing west, cycle along the cliffs of Carvoeiro and then inland, passing through the historic town of Silves. For the end is reserved the Vincentian coast and the westernmost point of Europe, Cape São Vicente!

Program
Day 1 - Arrival in the Algarve and Cabanas de Tavira. Upon the arrival at Faro Airport, you will be greeted by a Bikesul representative who, after a brief introduction, will transfer you to your hotel in Cabanas de Tavira, a small fishing village, very popular in the summer months for its paradisiacal beach. If you have some time, we recommend a walk along Cabanas beach or along the promenade overlooking the Ria Formosa. This hotel has a hotel with a dedicated Bike Station.

Day 2 - The Sotavento Algarve (40 km, 650 m elevation)
The first day of activity is distinguished by a circular route in the eastern Algarve, exploring the interior through the Serra de Tavira at the beginning, then entering the forest of Santa Rita and ending by the coast, along the Ria Formosa. Undoubtedly the best way to start your MTB adventure in the Algarve.

 Day 3 - The Trails of the Algarve Bike Challenge (55 km, 1200 m elevation)
On this day you will cycle along some of the best trails that have brought so much fame to the international event: Algarve Bike Challenge. With some climbing in the initial part, then comes a bunch of singletracks that will sure delight mountain bike lovers. Your physical condition will be tested on this day, but the natural beauty of the Algarve mountains and the Barrocal will leave you enchanted! The final part of this day will be quite physically accessible, but with some rocky sections, typical of the Algarve's Baroque terrain.

 Day 4 - São Brás de Alportel and the famous footpath of Ribeira de Algibre (68 km, 1000 m elevation)
After starting uphill, you arrive at São Brás de Alportel, a typical village in the interior of the Algarve. Continuing inland, we enter the Alportel valley which connects to the municipality of Loulé and Fonte Filipe, where the famous Ribeira de Algibre trail begins. Constantly uphill and mostly on singletrack, this is an unmissable spot for mountain biking lovers in the Algarve! Along the way, we will pass through the typical village of Paderne and later by the Moorish castle to later reach the mouth of the stream, right next to the famous Vilamoura marina. Next is the Vilamoura cliff with a breathtaking view over the beach and the blue Atlantic Ocean! Accommodation in Açoteias.
 Day 5 - The Barrocal and the Carvoeiro cliffs (55 km, 900 m elevation)
This stage is characterized by two distinct phases, the first through the Barrocal and its easy and fun trails in the parishes of Ferreiras, Algoz and Tunes. Then heading south, we'll pass through Alcantarilha and soon after we'll return to the coast, passing through Armação de Pêra, to then face a section of up and down in the cliffs of the municipality of Lagoa, including the passage through the famous Algar de Benagil, before reaching Carvoeiro, the destination of the day!

 Day 6 - Silves Castle and the historic city of Lagos (75 km, 1650 m elevation)
This stage connects Carvoeiro to Praia da Luz through the inland, being the longest with ca.70km, it starts by following the trails of the municipality of Lagoa, passing through Ferragudo, Estômbar, among vineyards, orange groves and the Arade river, we will arrive in the city de Silves, where a visit to the medieval castle is a must! It then follows a path that goes up and down the Silves mountain range that will take you to the municipality of Portimão. Heading south, we will arrive at Odiáxere in the municipality of Lagos. As far as Praia da Luz, you will also pass by Ponta da Piedade, by Praia do Porto de Mós.

Day 7 - Costa Vicentina and the Atlantic Ocean (59.5 km / 37 mi, 730 m / 2395 ft elevation)
On this last day of mountainbiking, you will have the opportunity to cycle along the coast until you reach the small town of Burgau, passing by huge cliffs with breathtaking views over the ocean. On this day, the characteristic landscape of this wilder part of the Algarve stands out, with pine forests and inhabittaded areas. Arriving at Cabo de São Vicente, the most southwesterly point in Europe, will undoubtedly be a memorable moment! There you can visit the lighthouse and the fort that are on top of a cliff.

 Day 8 - The Departure
After having breakfast, the transfer service will be provided but if you are planning to stay a few more days, let us know if we can help you with some suggestions.
