Belgian cyclist Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) took his second victory in the 109th Tour de France on a bicycle, winning the eighth stage. Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates) reinforced the yellow jersey.
Wout van Aert sprinted the Australian Michael Matthews (BikeExchange-Jayco) and the yellow jersey, who crossed the finish line, coinciding with a third-rate mountain count, with the same 04:13.06 hours as the winner.
