Rui Oliveira is European Scratch Champion at the European Cycling Championship

The Portuguese cyclist Rui Oliveira, 25 years old, was crowned European “scratch” champion in the European European track cycling championship, this past Thursday. The championship took place in Grenchen, Switzerland.

This was the third medal for Portugal in this competition.
In 2020 Iúri Leitão won the gold medal in the same event.
Right after Rui Oliveira was the Dutchman Vincent Hoppezak, in second place, followed by the Irishman Jb Murphy, with the bronze medal.
