Rein Taaramae (Intermarché-Wanty-Gobert) came yesterday, Monday, to the leadership of the Tour de España on bicycle, by winning the third stage alone.
At the end of the 202.8-kilometer link, the Estonian won in 5:16.57 hours, 21 seconds less than the American Joe Dombrowski (UAE Emirates) and 36 seconds than the Frenchman Kenny Elissonde (Trek-Segafredo).
In the overall standings, Taaramae took the lead, 25 seconds ahead of Elissonde and 30 seconds ahead of Slovenia's Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma).
Today, the fourth stage takes place, covering a total of 163.9 kilometers, between El Burgo de Osma and Molina de Aragón.
