This Thursday, Uruguayan cyclist Maurício Moreira (Efapel) became the first leader of the Douro International Grand Prix, by winning the first stage, which linked Torre de Moncorvo to Mogadouro.
Portuguese Iuri Leitão (Tavfer-Measindot-Mortágua) led the first chasing group and cut the goal 25 seconds later, the same time as Argentine Tomás Contte (Louletano-Loulé Concelho), third placed.
Gonçalo Amado (Atarte-Feirense) leads the mountain and Gaspar Gonçalves (Tavfer-Measindot-Mortágua) is in front of the mobile goals.
