Julian Alaphilippe renewed the title of World Champion in Cross-country Cycling

Julian Alaphilippe, 29 years old, was once again world champion in cross-country cycling, winning the 268.3 kilometer race between Antwerp and Leuven in Belgium.
Dylan van Baarle, from the Netherlands, came in second and Michael Valgren Hundal, from Denmark, came in third.
Alaphilippe is the first Frenchman to win two world champion titles in the centenary history of the road World Cups.
The best of the five Portuguese in the competition was Rui Oliveira, 39th, crossing the finish line in 6:03.01 hours, 6.27 minutes after the winner. João Almeida was 47th, 6.31 minutes behind Alaphilippe, while Nelson Oliveira was 55th, 6.40 minutes after the world champion.
André Rodrigues and Rafael Reis did not finish the race.
