"A week to visit, think and celebrate the Southwest". This is Rota Vicentina’s proposal for the first public event promoted by the Association, which will take place between the 21st to the 27th of March, 2021.
From the Southwest of Portugal across the world, this event – now in an exclusively online format – marks the renewal of vows for our love for this land and invites all those who want to take care of it, to immerse themselves in an experience of reflection, sharing and authenticity.
It started on Sunday, 21st of March, with an opening session.
The programme also highlights an essential element of reflection on the sustainability of the territory, with the live transmission of three talks:
22nd March at 10 am | Cycling and the local Culture (of mobility?)
23rd March at 2:30 pm | The Southwest Coast: the last stronghold of freedom?
26th March at 10 am | Who is the national tourist who seeks sustainability?
Throughout the week there are also several live conversations on @rotavicentina’s social networks, for reliving memories of the trails or for planning your next trips with the help of the Association’s team, ending with an open conversation with the whole community to exchange ideas about the way forward in the future.
In addition to these moments, there are also other on-going activities created together with the community, that you can see and join on the Rota Vicentina Agenda. From recounting stories, to training on trails and invasive plants, cooking workshops, concerts, handmade soap workshops, painting with watercolours to handicrafts with wool … all at the distance of a click .
Semana ID will also contain various programme proposals and itineraries to inspire all those who, in the near future, want to experience this region through an original trip along the coast and through the mountains.
All the information about Semana ID is available on the new page:Â www.rotavicentina.com/semanaid/.
