The danish Gustav Wang was crowned world junior time trial champion at the World Championships in Flanders, Belgium.
Wang completed the 22.3 kilometers between Knokke and Bruges in 25.37 minutes. Second place was the british Joshua Tarling, 20 seconds behind.
Gonçalo Tavares was the best of the two Portuguese in the competition, in 40th place and António Morgado was in 44th place.
In the women's junior competition, the strongest was russian Alena Ivanchenko, who completed the 19.3 kilometers in 25.05 minutes. In second place was the british Zoe Backstedt and in third place was the german Antonia Niedermaier.
